Fan Friday - Jigglypuff

Let's set some time aside to pay tribute to the round, pink diva known as Jigglypuff!

Uhhh Pikachu... you should probably turn around.

Jigglypuff has always been my favorite Pokemon (Along with Kadabra and Vulpix/Ninetales). Everyone would talk about Charizard or Pikachu, and then I'd bring up how I loved Jigglypuff and usually get made fun of for it. I didn't care. I think all of those who were in to Pokemon as a kid had that one that they connected with and loved, Jigglypuff happened to be mine. I couldn't help it! We were so much alike. Both me and Jigglypuff are adorable, round, short-tempered and we tend to bitch-slap assholes who piss us off. 

Get 'em!

Jigglypuff is known as the Balloon Pokemon. It's a round, pink ball with pointy ears and elongated feel. It has larg blue (sometimes green), alluring eyes and short, stubby arms. It's skin is soft and rubbery like a balloon and pink curl of fur between it's ears, adding to it's adorable appearance. Jigglypuff is known for it's soothing lullaby and it's short temper. It will relentless (bitch)slap it's foe over and over.It's really fucking cute. I can't even handle it. 

Puff, puff, puff!

In the anime, Jigglypuff is introduced in episode 45 entitled The Song of Jigglypuff. Ash and his friends stumble upon Jigglypuff as they escape the hectic, cranky city of Neon Town. Jigglypuff seems to be upset, and it's soon revealed that it can't sing. Ash and his friends help Jigglypuff regain it's voice, she then performs for the group, but Jigglypuff's beautiful voice is so soothing it puts everyone to sleep.

Jigglypuff get's pissed, so she finds a marker and scribbles all over their faces while they're passed out. When they wake up, they apologize and try to sit through her performace again. They fall asleep again and Jigglypuff get's pissed again. They decide to take her into Neon City where no one ever sleeps, and let her perform. Jigglypuff's voice is so soothing that she puts everyone to sleep again and scribbles over everyone's faces and then peaces out.

For the rest of the series, Jigglypuff shows up randomly trying to find someone to listen to her beautiful song without falling asleep. She'll see different things like a stool or a platform and imagine them as a stage for it to perform on. It's pretty much like my life. 

In the actual first generation GameBoy Game Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow, Jigglypuff can be caught. I always had a Jigglypuff and eventually evolved it into Wigglytuff, thought they didn't make it particularly easy to catch or train one in the first generation games. 

You wouldn't like it when it's angry... however, you still think it's fucking adorable.

The Pokedex entry for Jigglypuff:

"When its huge eyes light up, it sings a mysteriously soothing melody that lulls its enemies to sleep."

-Red and Blue

Uses its alluring eyes to enrapture its foe. It then sings a pleasing melody that lulls the foe to sleep.

-Yellow

I've always felt bad for little Jigglypuff. All it's ever wanted to do is be a star. I mean, how would you feel if you had an amazing voice, but before you were able to finish your song, everyone fell asleep? You'd never hear their applause or praise, just snoring. I would draw on everyone's face too! Hell, I would everyone's face anyway. 

Bitch! I'm fabulous!

A lot of people really hate Jigglypuff. It's been called useless, stupid, weak, etc. It's okay, you don't become a huge star without getting some haters, and make not mistakes, this dramatic, fabulous, round, pink diva is a star, and it will always be one of the most popular Pokemon ever. Don't fuck with her! She'll put you to sleep, draw on your face and continuously bitch-slap you. Suck on that haters!
